      Referral Cheat Sheet

      Helpful information for all things Referrals

      Power Ratings

      • Referrals must take a lesson or fitting service of some kind (Swing Evaluation, TECfit, etc.) to be counted in Power Ratings.
      • Where Heard and Referring Player information must be added to the Referral Player Profile within 30 days of the first lesson or fitting service in order to be counted.
      • Referrals will be counted on the day of their first lesson or fitting service.
      • The Coach who taught the LAST LESSON for the Referring Player gets credit for the Referral regardless of where the Referral takes his/her first lesson or fitting service.

      Creating New Player

      1. Search to verify that the Player doesn’t already exist in CaddyMaster. If they do, proceed to “Modifying Existing Player” section. If not, proceed to next step.
      2. Select “Add Player” and complete all fields, choosing “Referral” from Where Heard drop-down menu.
      3. Use the  icon to search for the referring player’s account and choose Select. Referring Player’s ID should appear underneath Where Heard in Add Player section.
      4. Click “Add Player” button.

      That’s it. Your New Player has been created as a Referral with the associated Referring Player. Keep in mind that they’re not officially a Referral until they’ve taken a lesson or fitting service.

      Modifying Existing Player


      • You will need the Referring Player’s name and/or email address to complete this process.
      • If you do not have that, get the name from the referral and follow the below steps:
        1. Use Search/Add Players to find the Player you need to modify.
        2. Select the Player Profile icon.
        3. Select Edit Player.
        4. Choose “Referral” from Where Heard drop-down menu.
        5. If no player ID appears in the Referral ID field, use the  icon to search for the referring player’s account.
        6. Click “Save” button before exiting Player Profile

      That’s it. Your Player has been modified. Keep in mind that they’re not officially a Referral until they’ve taken a lesson or fitting service.

      Player Profile – Referred By

       
      You can see the Referring Player for any other Player by searching for the Student ID in the Referral ID field located in the Edit Player section of the Player Profile.
       
      This section does not require a lesson or fitting service, so it’s possible you could see a “Referred ID” for a Player that is not officially a Referral … yet.

      Player Profile – Referrals

      • You can see all Referrals generated by any given Player by looking in the expandable “Referrals” frame inside the Player Profile.
      • This section does not require a lesson or fitting service to be taken, so it’s possible you could see “Referrals” listed here that are not officially Referrals … yet.

      Additional Notes

      • If a student is sent a referral through the Clubhouse, the Where Heard field will show Clubhouse instead of Referral. Be sure to change that in Edit Player to ensure that both players receive their referral credits.
      • If anyone reaches out with a question on their referral, be sure to double check that it was properly entered into their Player Profile.
      • Referrals can only be added to a new student before or within 30 days of their first appointment with GOLFTEC.
